REST IN PEACE ALADDIN

aladdin passed away on 31 January 2010.
he was a small brown furry hamster.
adopted in august 2008.
though he wasnt as nice to cuddle like my dog,
he was adorable with his coat of long hair sticking out at the sides.
make him look like superman. :)
he was this little picky small thing.
super fussy about whatever he ate.
he doesnt eat fruits but he loves the forzen mixed veggies.
the troublesome little minx!
but how i loved him so.

now, he's just lifeless.
skin bones and no soul.
body to be burried under the cold damp soil.
to be left to the underworld.
that's his place now.

but, he'd forever have a nice warm spot in my heart.
just that little corner for him to snuggle in.

Havent been blogging for quite a while already.. hahas :))

cause my com at home is spoilt and now im at my grandpa's house using the com. :)

anyways.. nothing much to blog about. ^^

just went for a 2 days 1 night chalet at downtown but ended up falling sick. =.=

chalet is fun!!

cooked for mum's bdae and cooked pasta for grandpa,the maid, jake and hong chuan on tuesday ^^

cooking is TOUGH! hahas hooray for all the excellent chefs out there! ^^

okkay.. a funny thing happened in school today...

there was a fire, then the fire alarm sounded.

first thought? FIRE DRILL AH?

hahas

since it was raining outside, didnt think much of it being a fire drill.

so.. didnt bothered about it BUT THEN...

KM came up to call us to go down cause there really was a FIRE! hahas

can you imagine that?

a FIRE broke out but there we were PRETENDING that it was a fire drill! hahas

hilarious! :PPP

but it was actually quite fun ^^

Outing with hong chuan, jake and his friends yesterday~ had lunch at sakura orchard before walking around and buying mooncake! :)

the funniest thing that happened? after hong chuan left to meet his friends, when the train arrived at orchard station, jake and connie got separated from us cause the door closed before they entered!

like shocked and pissed? people didnt even move in. they just crowded by the doors when the middle was super empty la! stuupid people. oh well~ that was yesterday~

today!outing with shufung fung and yamoniee!!!!!! :))

hehehes

bought tickets to the movie "9" at 4.40 then since we couldnt decide what to eat for lunch.. we drew lots! :D

hahas

and we ended up eating at the japanese restaurant(i dont remeber the name) :))

both shufung and yamon ate the same thing (i forgot what it's called) while i ate my ramen! ton toro ramen! x)

yamon and i ordered the plum sakae cause we just wanted to try and shufung had her peach float~ woots woots~ ^^

the plum sakae is nicee~ xD

had enough time to walk around before the movie.

the 3 of us shared a popcorn combo :D

the movie was actually quite short and yamon.. i think she was a little freaked out?

oh wells~ walked around for a while before yamon had to leave for her dinner while i accompanied shufung till she had to go meet her parents :)

shufung fung bought a grey jacket from TOPSHOP and i bought a wave hooop! :)

i am addicted to pokemon now!

Had a class gathering yesterday.. but since i ended school early and i was only supposed to meet yun xin at 6.. i went to watch a movie first.

watched "The Cove"

It's a film about the killing of 20,000 and more dolphins and porpoises in Taiji, Japan every year! :( i cried during the movie, it's just too painful to watch.

When it starts you dont know what to expect.

But as you keep watching, you realise that the group of people are trying to discover the secret of the cove, which is the place where the japanese fishermen kill the dolphins by stabbing them.

It's not easy to film near the cove cause the fishermen will shout at you and push you and block you from going anywhere near or anywhere where you can see the killing. they block off the roads and they just allow people to watch them chasing the dolphins into the shallow waters. The next day dolphin trainers will choose their ideal dolphins to be shipped to aquariams or oceanariams around the world. and the remaining one? They are killed in "the cove" and the meat is sold. sometimes the meat is passed off as whale meat and innocent people who dont know that it's dolphin meat they are indirectly eat contaminated food as dolphin meat is high in mercury content which is poisonous.

For the crew to have filmed this film, they took a lot of risks to not get caught by the japanese and what the fishermen do is actually covered up by the government itself.

If everyone would just watch the movie, im sure you would have felt what i felt.

The need to stop and prevent the killing and the need to spread the word around for more people to know and to force the japan government to shut down the business.

Tears of sadness will just flow from within and you just feel that what the people are doing is not right at all.

After the movie went to meet yunxin at marche, in the end there's was like only yun xin, pauline and i there. but since we expected about 12 people, so 6 people needed to be present before we could go in.

Slowly one by one, jolene came then hoe han then daiyi and.. we were still queuing then. hahas by that time it was around 7plus already, marche was super crowded and a long Q had formed outside. luckily we were inside :)

when sam, kenny and jieqin arrived, we had to wait some mroe before we could go in.

FINALLY! FOOD! :)) hahahas

we Q for an hour plus la~ =.=

ohhh well~ got to eat eat eat eat eat~

had my salmon fillet, mushroom soup, calamari and my dessert! mixed berry pie! :))

yummmmmy! hahas

in the end only 10 people came. =.= jieping came last but she didnt eat at all. hahas

after that went to holland V to chill before going home.

okkay.. then today..

went to vivo for a while and bought goodies from candy empire, bought my boys over flowers OST (part 1 and part 2), and handphone accessories :D bought subway for dinner and the guy gave me MUSTARD instead of HONEY mustard! grrr... think he was drunk or something..

I HATE MUSTARD! ewwww~

in just 2 days i spent around $150. -.-

left house as usual this morning but headed to the NLB instead :)

it was the first time i saw people gathering outside the sliding doors to get into the library!

it was somewhere between 950 and 1002 am and the library's official opening time is 10am!

the crowd was eagerly awaiting to enter the library!

when the double glass doors finally slid open..

everyone walked in and went to grab a good seat, papers, books or computer~

the staff were standing on either side of the door greeting everyone good morning :)

sure friendly service ^^

ohh well~ i grabbed an asterix & obelix comic book to read while waiting for sam to have lunch with me :)

met her at bugis and we had pastamania for lunch! :D

but the woman taking our orders had such bad attitude. -.-

she was like mumbling to herself and when she asked what pasta i thought she was asking what combo.. LOL

had this super attitude face like we owe her something like that..

since u dont like serving customers then dont get jobs like these la.. =.=

anyway.. had my meatballs pasta and sam had creamy chicken ^^

headed to the arcade after that and ended up playing the toy&sweet machine (dont what it's called actually).. hahas

spent $10 to win my rainbow stitch & sweets :) hahas

THANKS SAM FOR PLAYING WITH ME! ^^

then we tried other machines too but gave up wasting money.. so we went to shoot hoops with our remaining 2 tokens :)

by then sam still had an hour before going back for rehersal..

so we walked around and i decided to watch "The Proposal" alone :D

then sam left and headed back to school while i waited outside the cinema x)

it's a really good show! love it! romantic comedy~ hahas

the only gross part is the male stripper who has hairs all over! and he's also the convenience store owner and a pastor. LOL

in the end.. HAPPY ENDING!! :) cute handsome guy with a hot bod (Ryan Reynolds) and pretty woman (Sandra Bullock) belongs together~ ^^

okkay.. so after the movie went to Muji to buy this orange flavoured cake before heading home :)

finally me and my new haircut~ hahas

after weeeks of rushing presentation and AES and report.. FYP is finally over!

but some how i dont feel anything! =.=

ohh well.. currently working in school under cherine tan and rockeby. :)

it's a bit of a bore now.. xP

i had 3 birthday celebrations! :)

the first celebration was with wawa, shufungfung and yamonee~ :DD

and it's the day i had my AWFUL haircut! :(( totally regret cutting... *emo*

hahas they say i look like a mushroom, tomato, marshmallow? hahas

okkay.. so we had dinner at mussel guys at orchard central! ^^

shufung's order got mixed up and the poor waitress got scolded.

but all in all the dinner was enjoyable!

recently been having stomaches and stomach pains.

i think im not eating right some how or either that my stomach is like spoilt. LOL.

sore throat and runny nose too.

anyway.. since im not in lab.. it's actually time for me to do my proper report and presentation. :)

hahas.. 2 more weeks (after this week) and fyp ends..

BUT...

had an almost great weekend though :D

went to meet up with isaac on sat and went for his church service for a while.

after that went to meet steph, nigel and bel at lido for this korean film festival opening :)

anyway..

before the film starts (which was at 845pm) we had this cocktail reception :D

loved the honey cheese sausage, tuna croissant, assorted fruit tarts and tiramisu (which i dont usually eat cause im not a coffee fan).

im such a food glutton. hahas xD

met the korean ambassador plus his really cute son! hahas :D

all thanks to my uncle! who was actually invited but couldnt go cause he's still nursing his wound.

korean guys are cute and hot? hahas :DD

the opening movie was "Lost and Found"

its about this girl who has this high school crush, sends him a handmade elephant doll and still has a crush on him years later.

on the day everything goes wrong for her, she accidentally runs over a car only to realise the driver is her crush!

so she feigns amnesia so as to live with the guy BUT is recognised by her childhood friend while grocery shopping.

in the end she went back to her run down apartment and tries to regain the memory she never lost.

however, she finds out that her childhood friend has always been in love with her and he is the one whom she truly loves.

so happy ending right? :)

she ends up with her childhood friend while her high school crush met his first love and fell in love all over again. :D

ONE HELL OF A FACIAL! =.=

went for a facial and it hurt like hell.

all i could remember was this hot steam blowing directly at my face and i was suffocating!

it was so difficult to breathe and if i took ideep breathe i felt as if my lungs would choke up with water droplets!

after the steam came the "POKING".

this was the worst. HURT HURT HURT.

its like she squeezed then POKED and DIGGED with a SUPER SHARP NEEDLE!

hurts hurts.

and i was trying so hard not to scream and shout and cry out loud!

i just grabbed the sheets and kinda TAHAN throughout the whole "poking" session.

in the end i still... embarassed myself.

tears just flowed down and what could i say? for the amount of pimples on my face.. that's the price to pay.

PAIN! EXCRUCIATING PAIN. :(

well..after the tears just AUTOMATICALLY flowed out, she wanted to pluck my eyebrows. -.-

as if i wasnt traumatised enough.

declined her offer. my brows look OKAY to me. and i dont think i could have taken any more PAIN.

so after hell was heaven. :)

face massage and face mask. :D

took quite a while for my tensed up body to feel relaxed again.

hahahas

but i guess it was quite an experience.

im due back there in about another 2 weeks. hope it'll be much better.

i was like some traumatised kid after facial yesterday. emo-ed the whole day.

i so cant believe that MICHAEL JACKSON the KING OF POP is DEAD! :(

when rose texted me on friday morning i thought she was actually playing a trick on me..

till i heard the news and saw the reports.

i was actually thinking about his death all day in school.

and after school and dinner, came home and watched cable with steph..

almost every channel was reporting michael jackson's sudden death.

i repeat, SUDDEN.

they were reporting his life before he died, what he did, how he became the MICHAEL JACKSON, his cases, debts and all..

kept watching the news and MTV channels on fri sat and sunday.. keeping updated with the news of his death.

i dont believe he actually molested any child and i dont think there's anything wrong with him being "white".

if people think that plastic surgery so wrong then why do we have plastic surgeons and why do people seek beauty?

because ugly looking people are ostracized by other "normal" looking people thus plastic surgery for perfection or acceptance from others.

i personally have liked michael jackson ever since i saw him doing moon walk. :)

his music is just great and he is just one of a kind.

come to think of it, i like quite a number of songs by him like....

2. watched "Drag Me TO Hell" with mr jeff 18 june
went to meet mr jeff after sch cause the whole family went to BATAM WITHOUT ME! :((

so went to watch some horror show and totally freaked myself out..

its actually called "Video Games Live", a concert whereby they play soundtracks from videogames!! :))

Couldnt decide what to wear hence the weird combination of clothes and accessories! x)

Went to meet mum & sa at bugis so lunched at SHOKUDO~ x)
my curry pork chop with omelette rice x)
sa ordered the same rice except hers was terriyaki chicken chop.
the lychee soda float is so not nice at all! :(

recently i've been very very lazy to blog.. so just gonna write about the recent happenings :)

Firstly, manda been feeling abominal pains near the appendix recently and finally went to A&E at SGH last wed to check things out. :)

Did urine test - CLEARED.
Did blood test - CLEARED.
Glucose level in blood - CLEARED.
X-ray - CLEARED except i got lots of ehh-hem stored in the rectum. :P

Doctor even put me on a drip!! now i know how it feels like to really be a SICK patient. =X

so the possibility me me having appendicitis? plus minus. :)

anyway the concluding result... it might have just been too much WIND in my tummy thus cauing all the stuupid pains here and there! hahas

so pain pain went away after the doc poked smth.. so manda is all well again! :))

just need to take care of herself properly for the time being! x) hahas

(ever seen such a happy patient? hahas xP)

Secondly, went for an "ANIMALS" outing to the east to the east to the coast coast coast on satruday! x) wheeees~ hahas

and now we have 2 more animals! :)

had super duper lots of fun :) but ghim ghim and andre couldnt come with us that day :(

fret not for we shall hold another outing to pasir ris park on the 30 of MAY! :))

there must have been a layer of dust and rust cause he didnt touch his PS3 since the last time we went there!! :( sad sad sad sad sad..

so in the end we watched detroit metal city, marley&me and hairspray! x)

UPDATES! :)

friday went to meet shufung fung for dinner! :))

ate at the hawker centre near my grandfather's house :D

went to walk here and there then went to NTUC and bought 2 small packs of cereals and 2 bottles of strawberry yogurt drink with nata bits! hahas

sat at the void deck and started to drink our huge 800ml DRINK! :)

but then it was getting quite late so we only drank half a bottle before heading home! :))

today had ex 4A class gathering at De Coders Cafe new my house :))

all i had to do is walk walk then reach in around 15 minutes! hahas

fun games laughter x)

i miss secondary school days! ahahahas

the only thing was that the food was served super slow.. maybe cause we were in such a huge group! hahas

many funny things happened.. like lincoln doing forfeit! hahas

friday met joy to go some where at clarke quay then saw a few other people also.. stephen maggie krystle jing jing and 2 other guys.. ahahas

went over to central and snacked at mr curry :)

joy&stephen had clam chowder and i ordered some mango dessert and strawberry mousse cake! ^^

after that went to buy rock candy and mum fetch me to go for dinner with godbro and family at "No Signboard Seafood Restaurant" at geylang.. ^^

godbrother ordered lots and lots of food la!!!

but the chilli crab was fabulous! ^^

went to shop at vivo for rudelle's and idelle's birthday present :))

rudelle bought walkie talkies and a clay making set :D

went to have supper at MAC bought happy meal! :) hahas

then today went to pray my grandma's death anniversary. so fast 2 years gone by already :(

its this japanese restaurant at central and they basically serve ramen :) not like ajisen.. this restaurant serves only one type of ramen:chicken soup base (spicy/non-spicy) :D

add on $2 for a refill of ramen but just dont finish the soup xD

hahas the two of us just sat there enjoying our delicious bowl of ramen.

wells.. after 2 servings of ramen.. we definitely had to walk a bit :)

went to buy some rock candy at the basement and there's this cute guy! hahas

he was like "do you want to try?" and i looked at home for a while then realised his arm was stretched out holding 2 pieces of freshly made candy :)

"Kingdom Hospital" was what we watched after D.I.E. (hk drama).. kingdom hospital is super long! hahas watched from 3 plus till 10 and we only watched half of the show.. hahas

think i ate a lot over there.. prawn mee duing lunch, snacked some garlic bread and fruits and chips and ice cream, fried rice for dinner and durian cake for supper! hahas so much in a day la.. plus ah ma's liang teh and white fungus sweet soup.. hahas

i would say i have had my cravings fulfill over the weekends :D

met tint khine jerry and jolene at lucky plaza for lunch :))

and.. i was like late. :((

oh well.. thank god for good patient friends! :DD love them! hahas

so tint khine brought us to this indonesian restaurant on the 4th floor of lucky plaza :)

i think their famous dish is spicy chicken with rice :) hahas

it is super nice.. except for the fact that the chilli is super SPICY and i was having sore throat. hahas

went to meet isaac after lunch at somerset for guitar :)) hahas

we ended up at the foodcourt at cine instead :)

taught me how to play McFly's "It's All About You" :))

and he gave me homework? hahas :DD so cute..

anyway.. after an hr plus or so.. we finished the guitar session so off he went to meet his friends and i joined my lunch buddies for a movie :D

tint khine left the ticket at the counter for me :D

watched "Revolutionary Road" :)

i think what we can learn from the show is to be decisive and firm about your own decisions and not to regret things when it is too late. :) treasure life :D

by the time the show ended it was already 6pm :)) we were supposed to go to raffles city shokudo for ex 2B gathering :))

okayys~ updates again :) whees~

hahas..

rotted at home on good friday :)

watch 5 episodes of hitman reborn only.. before mum asked me to go my cousin's house :)

gobbled up my lunch & showered straight after that.. hahas

so mum&&dad dropped me off at my cousin's house and we started watching movies!

planned to have pizza for dinner :)) Y-U-M-M-Y!

since sam & i were like falling asleep..we decided to have an afternoon nap! whoos~

steph and nigel came in like around 6++ to wake us up for dinner but sam & i just happened to turn and saw them standing there.. -_- CREEEPY! hahas

4 different flavour pizzas! eat to your hearts content man! :)

watched "Return to house on haunted hill" while eating.. gross la.. think they censored some gore parts.. hahas :)

and watch "Harry Potter and the Order fo the Phoenix" after that! yay! i didnt watch that movie when it came out so yay! :))

but the ending was so so only la.. so yea :)

SATURDAY

went to meet isaac at town to learnt the remaining part of "way back into love" hahas

but before that went to visit grandaunt lily at the hospital.. she just went for knee cap surgery but she's looking so so fine already! :) yay! hahas

so off i went to meet isaac at dhoby.. :) went for lunch at cathy there before walking to cuppage to find a nice quiet spot to teach me.. in the end it was this organic shop where we bought drinks and just sat there.. hahas :)

YAY!!! i like finally learnt the whole song la. but still got some parts a bit unsure so gotta ask him again.. hehe :)

after that bused with him all the way to tamp.. was supposed to meet chork al & cindy to go CHC service at expo.. in the end i haven even reach tamp the service was over le.. so we just decided to go to the new shopping centre!

tampines 1 :) ate at this place called F.I.S.H. hahas and almost everything was like sold out la.. so ordered the sirloin steak and the cheesecake is super duper nice! :) the waitress was like dam sweet and cool and nice and friendly! :) EXCELLENT SERVICE AWARD TO HER! :)

by the time we finished.. all the shops were closed already.. so off we went home :)

SUNDAY

didnt really eat a lot this time cause i had stomache. -_-

went to meet isaac and his church friends for their easter service at suntec.. hahas

okay.. updates! hahas

here's what happened on monday~ :))

erm.. slacked in the lab again.. but actually did quite a lot of stuff? :P hehehe

then went to meet shu fung fung at somerset so off we went to find wawa who's now working at FOSSIL! :)

mainey constance shufung and i were supposed to go find wawa together and then have dinner..

BUT!!! mainey forgot all abt it.. :((

in the end it was just constance shufung and i :) *maine will make it up to us next time* hehe

while shufung and i went to wawa's shop :P we were waiting for the "still-at-home" constance to arrive at heeren~ hahas

accompanied wawa for dinner at mac.. and constance came in SHORTS!! hahas

like so so so surprised la~ cause always see her in jeans then now she's in shorts! hehe

off we went to NYDC for dinner! :))

laughed and laughed and laughed a lot la~ hahas

shufung ordered some chocolate drink and "when pigs fly" some sausage pasta

constance ordered some hazelnut earl grey tea or smth and roast chicken spaghetti

hmm.. i've actually got many things to blog.. but LAZY!! hahas

anyway.. back tracking.. went to watch "Confessions of a Shopaholic" on 26 march && 27 march!

on the 26 was with issac han and 2 of his friends x)

and on the 27 was with WAWA~! :) actually we were supposed to go to the night safari BUT i forgot to bring the tickets la!! :(( in the end dr jeff gave her 2 cathy movie vouchers so we decided to go watch a movieee at amk hub!

both days i watched at AMK hub, hall 6, 730pm show. LOL!

weekend.. went for qing ming and sunday was steph's 22nd birthday buffet celebration at

filtration is a smelly messy dirty job! :( makes everyone pissed and frustrated! oh well.. monday and wednesday was filtration x(

tuesday went to macritchie for field trip to collect leaves and mushrooms and polypores! hahas quite fun la.. x) saw this huge giant spider! xP

vicky would be going back to KL from thurs till mon.. so a few days of freedom~! x)

friday 3april. desmond's last day.

he doesnt want to come back to school anymore~!! x(

so today we were like ALL crazy can.. hahas went to AMK to eat pizza hut with desmond rose shanlyn and steve~ andre couldnt come cause henry came in early and he suddenly had lots and lots of stuff to do.. so off the 5 of us went for LUNCH~! x)

took many many pictures at pizza hut till the people over there think we crazy. xP and the weather was like so so freaking hot la!

FREAK WEATHER! one moment hot one moment cold. -_-

didnt want to walk back so decided to take a bus back in the end the bus didnt stop outside school but it turned right to anderson sec. LOL!

still had to walk back in the end.. hahas but we took pictures along the walkways and the level 1 corridor!

hahas went back to the lab didnt do much took more pictures~! x) hahas

shanlyn and i gave desmond this DIY thingy that shanlyn did x) petri dish photo frame! :)
she did all the DIY while i provided the photos~ hahas :)

after that was like GO HOME time! hahas

went to meet shufung fung at AMK hub cause we were going to night safari! last week couldnt go

so this week go instead. :) ate at BONGO BURGERS! then we went to buy the tram ticket! hahas
night safari is super duper dark and scary but the animals look so much nicer than the ones in the zoo.. might be due to the "lighting" hahas

could hardly take any pictures cause "NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY" lol~

but it was quite fun la.. just that the pathways so narrow and dark and so many mosquitos!

ohh well.. im rotting at home on a saturday afternoon.. :( nobody to go out with.. hahas

russell's last day of attachment with us! hahas so today we just let him do most of the work :)

while we went to prepare his farewell gift! *forgot to take a picture of it!*

he also gave us this box of butter cookies!! :DD *yay* super duper nice la~

last day so we lunched at koufu instead~ :))

but since russell is leaving.. it means more work for shanlyn and i to do!!

CASSEY's 20th BIRTHDAY BBQ! :)

since we were like supposed to meet around 5.. i had to go buy her a birthday present first!

went down to bugis with mum&sis to buy cass de present. x) super cute la the present! hahas

took train down all the way to pasir ris but it was like raining with thunder and lightning along the way.. luckily at pasir ris.. there wasnt really much thunder and lightning. :)

had to cab to pasir ris carpark E to meet them :)

it was super cold super windy and super wet due to the freaking rain!

but the sea smells dam dam nice :))

we waited at this huge shelter for the rain to get a little smaller but decided to just walk to the bbq pit and try to dry it..

sooo...... up came all the umbrellas and everyone helped to carry a bit of stuff :)

on the way to the pit... the sky colour was super duper nice la~!! yellow orange pink purple and blue~ :)

and there was a HUGE BEAUTIFUL RAINBOW!! :) hahahas

so we all laid newspaper on the pit to try and dry it so that we can start the fire.. :) almost all the umbrellas were used to shield the pit from the RAIN! hahas

imagine starting a bbq in a rain plus we were like just beside the sea so the wind was super strong! ah guan was the pro in setting fire for the bbq :)

took us around an hr plus just to light the freaking pit! but YAY we finally got the fire started! hahas

so the bbq officially started around 8 or 815? :))

like just cook and eat cook and eat cook and eat.. hahas

hungry people!

fun fun bbq~ stayed till around 12 plus then we all had to leave.. but we cleared most of the food leaving the satay and stingrays~ :)

oh well~ cabbed home with candice :) while jerold and joel sent the bdae girl home :)

ahhh.. labby didnt come today cause she had CRAMPS!

hahas but never mind.. at least still got russell x)

did lots of stuff today:

- prepared a boxful of cryovials full of 10% glycerol and water each.

- did isolation (blending and dilution and spread plates)

- prepared MEA agar

- autoclave thingys!

- cleaned and tidy the lab

- look at fungi under the microscope

hahas.. so after everything was done..

met shufung fung and wawa for dinner! x)

we were heading to SWENSENS to use the $40 voucher that i won for the lucky draw during D&D. x)

couldnt decide which swensens to go so we headed to the one at YISHUN by BUS. x)

hahahas all so siao siao one la~ we ordered a set meal each from the swensens new promotion menu x) gastronomical europe or something.. hahas and wawa couldnt make up her mind!!

the weekend has been a super packed one for me =)

SATURDAY
ZOO again with gong gong and cousins and sister as it was my grandfather's birthday so we decided to bring him out for a surprise visit to the zoo! hahas

he was super excited that he kept saying i took so long to get ready la.. =X

so off we went to the zoo in the "upsized" maxi cab which is actually a mini excursion bus! hahas =)

the sun wasnt too hot so the weather was fine x)

walk walk walk for us while gong gong sat in his wheelchair xD

he was like a little kid going to the zoo.. hehehe

in the end he was like hungry so we headed to the KFC.. super crowded la.. but managed to find a spot x)

then after lunch went to see more animals before gong gong complained that he was tired and he wanted to go home.. =)

oh well.. he had to rest before his party tonight.. took a cab home and we all went to nap nap nap~ xD

in the end gong gong rested for like 10mins before he was up and sitting at the table.. he just couldnt wait for the party to start.. ahahas

sky was looking super dark after i woke up from my nap.. LOL

luckily it didnt rain and everyone bought food xP

and the FEAST began~ hahas

ate and laughed and joked =)

around 8 plus we cut the cake so as to let gong gong rest.. hahas

his birthday cake was HUGE!!! =) and super delicious la~ hahahas

after the cake most of my aunts and uncles and cousins went home.. leaving my sisters 2 other cousins and i.. playing mahjong =X

went to watch DISNEY ON ICE:PRINCESS WISHES!! x) hehe

like some small little girl like that.. but today was my school's D&D also.. so had to wear my dress and all to disney on ice..

alas.. it was RAINING HEAVILY! and the indoor stadium has no shelter and there was a HUGE traffic jam and we were LATE! -_-

the show started before we went in but luckily we didnt miss out a lot.. hahas

the D&D was held at the NUS guild house.. hahas

food was OKOK games was quite entertaining and dancefloor was like erm....

in the end most of the people were just taking photos!!

ms vicky was on course today so left shanlyn russell and i in the lab x)

today was a laughing session in the lab.

FYP OFFICIALLY STARTS TODAY!!!!!!! x) hahas

cause monday wasnt counted and tuesday was a "holiday" then wednesday didnt have to come to school cause the risk assessment form wasnt done.. so....

shanlyn (my new labby) and i only started our official FYP work today! x) hahas

so today we had to prepare SOLID media..

had to prepare around 30 flasks so we had to weigh out all the ingredients:

-yeast extract-tryptone-glucose [i think]

and last but not least.. the wheat~ :P

had to make 2L of media then add 43ml to the wheat.. :)

super duper tiresome job la! and since we had to label all the flask.. i volunteered to label and.. i actually labeled the date "12/9/09"! hahas OMG OMG OMG la~ after labeling so many then i realised i was writing the WRONG DATE! hahahas

anyway.. we prepared a total of 44 flasks today! X) cause we were told to finish using the media and then autoclave all the flasks~ hahas

our autoclaving was separated into 2 batches and nice russell helped us to look after the second batch while we went home earlier.. x)

so i guess gotta start reading up on fungi and mushrooms and what not..

this is just only the BEGINNING x)

ok.. changed my blog skin to this for a while~ cause now i am having NARUTO FEVER AND RAMEN CRAVINGS! hahas x)

anyway.. this one week passed by really quickly and i'll be starting 6 FREAKING MONTHS OF FYP in school! :(

oh well.. at least i loved my one and only week of BREAK. x)

went to take my BTT on tue and bumped into jerry~ hahas :) so happy to see him like after almost half a year. x) he's planning to study medicine and he's gonna go back to south africa for good! :( no more jerry for like 6years and more after that.. oh well~ was glad to have meet him and chatted with him for a while~ xD

sooo.. on WED, went to meet lincoln and jolene for movie-dinner! hahas so excited la~ very long never see jolene :)) we bought tickets for "Marley & Me" and since i was H-U-N-G-R-Y.. we went to auntie anne's for pretzels~ hahas bumped into WELSON there la~ hahas i was a bit stunned cause i didnt know who jolene and lincoln were waving to.. then welson said i didnt look happy to see him cause i wasnt smiling.. LOL

i was surprised! hahas x/

anyway.. Marley & Me is SAD! :( i cried, jolene cried and lincoln cried! most people with emotions would have cried when watching the ending.. marley DIED! :( *sniff sniff*

but..... it was dinner time after the movie and we had to fill our tummy so our sadness gradually disappeared and we went to MAD JACK for dinner. x) hahahas i still think the one at jalan kayu is better. =

THURS and FRIDAY was spent with shufung~! x)

we went to the ZOO on thurs and sentosa on friday~ :) we were like tourists! xD take picture here and there.. eat here and there.. play everywhere~ hahahas fun fun fun! =)

think we exercised a lot at the zoo just by walking here and there to catch the showtimes and all~ hahahs x) i was like the part time tour guide also and shufung was the full time tourist! :) hehes

shufung was excited to see all the animals also.. like a little kid going to the zoo for the very first time! hahas

then on fri we decided to go underwater world too~ and the dolphin lagoon.. the underwater tunnel gave shufung fung a headache but she enjoyed seeing all the different sea creatures! hahas one day im gonna persuade her to touch the stingrays! hahas =D

at the dolphin lagoon we were kind of sun tanning while waiting for the show to start. first time shufung fung saw a PINK DOLPHIN! hahas but since the 3 dolphins were still young, they werent really PINK! and this time they didnt bring out the FULLY PINK dolphin. :(

so after a long day at sentosa went back to vivo to walk walk and eat eat.. saw welson working at NUM so waved HI to him to make up for that day.. hahas :)

ah well.. we had such a fun time together!

and fyp starts tmr. :( no more slippers and shorts and skirts for the time being! hahahas

ohh yea.. my aunt gave birth to a baby boy on sat~ :) not really give birth but Caesarean section.. hahas the baby has such a small head! =X but cute cute cute! :)

anyway.. spent my valentine with shufung fung~ x) that day was truly super unlucky.. firstly i tick the wrong column for my LUNCH! i ended up eating CURRY PRAWN RICE instead of my hot plate thingy.. grrrr...

after that we just walked walked and shopped for somethings =D

so we got tired after walking so long and it was super duper crowded la. like market like that.. hahas =D decided to go for tea but the place i wanted to go wasnt open. -_- so i suggested going to the "unmentionable" restaurant.. and we went in there ordered drinks only cause we werent hungry then. shufung ordered strawberry smoothie and i ordered a durian smoothie.

waited and waited. the table next to ours got served drinks SIMILAR to what we ordered and i was thinking they didnt order that cause they were having the SET MEAL.

it was just drinks! like how can they take super long to make drinks la.. even the couple who came after us were served their FOOD and DRINKS already la.. -_- so shufung went to ask one of the waitress about our drinks but in the end i think she didnt really bother about us.

SUPER PISSED. i was practically SUN TANNING there la.. zzzzzzzz so i walked to the counter and i was like "EXCUSE ME BUT WE WAITED FOR HALF AN HOUR BUT OUR DRINKS ARE STILL NOT HERE YET!" stood there and see what they had to say.. DUH-UH they had NOTHING to say at all. -_-

when they finally realised that they served OUR DRINKS to the WRONG TABLE.. the waitress said "they are making your drinks right now." LOL! LIKE WTF ATTITUDE IS THAT? no apologies?

so i said.. "FORGET IT. I DONT WANT TO DRINK ALREADY."

signalled to shufung fung and we just WALKED OUT OF THE FREAKING RESTAURANT.

LIKE OMG LA! the restaurant wasnt even crowded and you served the WRONG TABLE. maybe the restaurant needs a NEW SITTING ARRANGEMENT! xP

oh wells.. after that stuuuuupid thing happened..

we went to MODESTOS for dinner. :D

service there was SO SO SO MUCH BETTER THAT IT IS ACTUALLY WORTH THE 7% GST AND 10% SERVICE CHARGE! *eat that u "unmentionable restaurant!" IN YOUR FACE!*

shufung fung and i so enjoyed our DINNER having italian food~ like YAY-ness! she had some tomato bacon thingy and mine was stuffed pasta that tasted SWEET~ *whoo-hoos~*

DINNER ROCKS! :D

walked somemore after dinner before deciding to RANDOMLY choose and number and take the train to the destination.

soooooo.. we ended up in CLARKE QUAY! from there we walked thru all the pubs and bars to liang court..

we were practically tired from walking and just looking at the crowd was like.. ahhh.. get away from me.. hahas :D

in the end we retreted to the quiet-ness of the MRT station. LOL.

then it was goodbye and goodnight shufung fung~ and supper for me x)

dunno why i was so so hungry la.. texted my supper buddies but only hong chuan was free~

had prata for supper cause mac's was SUPER CROWDED and burger king was CLOSED. lols.

hong chuan was super duper high from drinking and he was practically making jokes and all.. hahas

oh well~ all in all.. V day.. SO NOT A DAY TO GO OUT. lols.

i know im supposed to be studying right now.. but i just cant seem to study whenever im all alone at home. i just dont like exams and exam period.. i feel so listless and so BORED!!! x(

so im gonna blog a short entry if not my mummies and daddy will kill me.. hahahas x)

recently i've been having weird dreams and cravings.

weird dreams like i dreamt about changing a new phone but instead i got shufung's PINK samsung phone.. hahas

and i dreamt about being in this haunted house adventure thingy.. something like the movie "Thirteen Ghosts".. in the dream you have to survive each room without getting caught by the ghost.. if you do.. it's game over for you.. so it's like you gottta know how each ghost died and what it does in the room to pass it safely. x)

and then i dreamt about being in this nonya family i guess.. weird weird.. i thought the phone was ringing in the dream but it was actually my house phone.. hahahas x)

and lastly.. i dreamt about a cycling ompetition to get some prize money.. in the end i won first place but there was no money instead there was free food.. hahas and i met my sec sch teacher and we went to her house for movies.. WEIRD!!!

anyway.. i am so craving for CHEESECAKES and WAFFLES and ICE CREAM and SUSHI and DURIAN and so much more!!

let's see.. almost 1mth of no blogging.. x) hahas

so now it's like the last week of school already and CNY isnt as great as the past years but it's still good.. x) i still love the lion dance! x) and the games and all xD

went for dinner with shufung fung last THURS after presentation xDD she waited till like 6plus for me to end sia.. the stuupid groups in front drag so long in the end delayed for like 2hours? -_- anyway.. I LOVE MY GROUP! hahas so we went to the HK Cafe for dinner~ and...

WE LOVE LYCHEE TEA!! xD

hahas.. then erm.. last sunday.. went to watch INKHEART with bel&jeff at JP. x) storyline not bad ba.. imagine you could bring a character to life just BY READING OUT LOUD!! xD now wouldnt that be nice? hahahas :DDD

then today... just decided randomly to cut my hair and so.. walked to the hair salon behind my block and went in for a hair cut x) the hair stylist suggested i highlight some purple!! i so want to dye or highlight PURPLE!!!!!! xD but mama wants me to pay for it myself!!! grrr.. where got money sia.. -_- i'm gonna shave my hair ah!!!!! LOL xP

whoots~ :D

im like finally blogging after so so long :)) hahahahas

been really busy since i returned from genting :))

christmas parties at aunt's house and cousin house :D

then been going out almost every single day... although school was supposed to have reopened on 29 dec.. it still felt like holiday to me :D

so i was going out everyday as usual.. hahahas

on 1 jan 2009.. the first day of the new year.. LOL! went to have lunch with godbro they all.. :D hahas after that went to meet hong chuan and his HK friend at sentosa and we headed to the underwater world.. ahahahs :D after that was the night safari! ah well.. didnt really see much at the night safari as we only entered at 10pm and had to leave by 12am.. :(( *heart pain*

next time must buy the package for zoo night safari and bird park then it's worth it!!!

and as usual.. school didnt feel like school at all!!! hahas

so on fri instead of going.. i went to have lunch with hong chuan at ikea.. hahahas.. and blah blah blah~ :PP

went to meet shufung fung on sat!!!! felt super duper long since i saw her? ahahahas maybe cause im still on holidaying mode :DD

anyway.. we met at marina square and had Kenny rogers for lunch!! :D in the end we could hardly finish our lunch.. -_- so wasted la.. oh well.. main intention was to have dessert but we ended up feeling super duper full so we skipped dessert and went to walk walk :))

ended up going to minibits cause i wanted to buy a necklace.. hahahas so we saw this cute lil girl necklace and some rings and we decided to get the same thing :)) hehe *yay* new necklace and rings!! :D

after that shufung went to her mama shop while i went to meet hong chuan for a movie.. like the 3rd movie of the week sia.. hahas cause i watched bedtime stories on tue and bolt on wed.. :DD
in the end tickets to all the 3pm++ and 4pm++ shows were either selling fast or sold out la!! -_- so we bought tickets to 7pounds :)

when it was time to enter.. we actually entered the wrong cinema!! hahahas walked in from the left, walked all the way down to the other side, sat down only to realise that the movie was transporter 3! hahas so walked back out of the cinema!! embarrassing!!

7pounds was touching :) but a bit boring if u're feeling sleepy.. hahahas

oh well.. after that was lunch at pepper lunch and cam whoring session :D

i've realised i've enjoyed myself a lot a lot through out my 2 weeks of break and during the 1st week of school.. hahahas.. now is like the end of the 2nd week already but it still feels like holiday to me!! and this whole week i only saw like maine wawa and shufung once sia.. hahahas kinda miss them :((

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!! :DD

anyway.. finally back from genting/KL~ genting was like SUPER DUPER COLD LA!!!

like staying in a fridge! ahahahas

so just a few hours ago was christma eve and i went to meet mainey, shufungy, MMC, JL, desmond and JL de friend for lunch and movie~! :D

ate at changing appetites!!! like finally~ hahahas :)) *will upload pics soon!*

mainey had her nachos cheese steak, shufungy had the "CHEESE THE CHICKEN", MMC had Hawaiian baby ribs while i had the Hawaiian grilled chicken! xD *yum yum yum~!*

all took turns feeding one another except MMC where we all just koped his ribs!! ahahahas

and then the ice lemon tea was like oh so totally tasteless la!! one small pathetic cup for FOUR CUPS!! ahahas.. so.... MMC asked the guy "can i have more of that?" hahahas funny la can~ mainey and i disturbed him la~ then he was like emo-ing le.. hahahas

so JL and her friend and desmond came, they ordered ate then we left for the movie!!

watched TWILIGHT! the guy is super duper nice and sweet and cute! ahahahas

after that went to PS to have dinner with hongchuan~ he wanted to eat at fish&co but it was so packed to the max so we ended up wandering around PS and finally decided to eat at this small eatery beside auntie anne's.. food was not bad la~ :D

so after dinner left him and went for karaoke session!! LOVE karaoke! ahahahas :DD

wawa, shufung, mainey, yiting and i left school at 5pm today~aboard bus 72 was some phototaking :DD

today boyboy got attacked by this huge golden retrevier when i brought him out for a walk. T_T
sad sad sad

shock shock shock

the golden retrevier just bit boyboy on his neck and shook him like some toy. i was too shocked to do anything.. later the golden retrevier attack me also :(

luckily the maid came and pulled the dog away from my boyboy.. POOR BOYBOY!

he was so stunned and shock that he didnt want to move at all!

i too had a heart attack. -_-

but the golden retrevier attacked boyboy cause boyboy looked exactly like the silky terrier which bite the golden retrevier like dunno how long ago..

in the end my boyboy got traumatised! :(

oh well.. brought him to the vet.. and he just sat there not wanting to move at all. just staring into space~ look at the bite marks! ke lian de boy boy.. in the end he had to be muzzled cause he wanted to bite anyone who touched his wounds..

hahas.. oh well~ the doctor gave him 2 jabs and some medication..

he is to be put under observation for the next few days~

went to Vivo to celebrate hongchuan's birthday with jake~

thanks to wawa who recommended "The Mussel Guys" restaurant~ hahaha
the food is not bad, price is reasonable and the ambiance is good also! :D

the two guys had wine while i just sticked to good old plain water~ LOL dory with lamb chop. :) the nicest dory ever!

chipolata sausages with chicken chop.sirloin steak with 1 kingprawn. hahahas

each meal came with mashed potatoes!!! :DD

then.. after dinner it was...

SURPRISE hongchuan with his cake! hahas and he was super duper surprised! :)

stayed back in the lab to help mainey and shufung wash pipette boxes!

called him last to ask about his flight today.. and.. he said it was at 9am but he had to check in before 8.. so that means.. i gotta leave house the latest at 6am in order to see him off.. hahas so in the end shufung so hao xin pei wo go airport! both of us woke up at 5am~ hahahas

early in the morning at 6am at the station.. so dark and early.. plus it was raining! thunderstorm started at 3am in the morning~ called thapa to make sure he didnt check in before i arrived. and he was like oh-so-shocked to hear that i was really going to the airport to send him off.. he thought i was joking la! hahahas oh wells~ :D couldnt go empty handed so wrote a short letter and brought a box of chocolates from holland.. hahahas :D

today went to PS again with sa~ been going to ps THREE DAYS IN A ROW LE~~ xD

sa wanted to buy tickets to HSM3 with her friends.. but since monday's gonna be a public holiday~~ there is NO student price~~ wahahahas

so went to THIS FASHION to see see~ and sa bought this cardigan.. xP

since the weather was so hot~ went to MR BEAN to get a drink.. :D

sasa bought pearly soya milk while i bought pearly bandung soya milk! xD

so we walked over to ps and walk walk..

and.. i wanted to get my ear pierced so went to 77th street to ask the price~ hahahas

$6 considered cheap ma? o.o

oh well~ in the end.. went to pierce~~

it didnt hurt at first but when she pulled the gun out.. the pain slowly crept in.. -.-

my ear was like swollen for a while and.. i realised that i had a mole on my ear~! 0.0!

after that was dinner at this hong kong cafe on lv6 :D

the food was not bad~ hehe loved mine! had lots and lots of cheese~~~ :D

after our filling dinner, sa and i went to walk at SPOTLIGHT..

wanted to buy this cross stitch but in the end the queue so long so we decided not buy.. =/

today went to have lunch at at sakae sushi at wheelock with alwin, yong-gy, wee wee and honey.. =D

kind of quiet at first but after that we were like so noisy~ hahahas

and on saturday.. THERE WAS NO BUFFET!!!! =(

after that we went to play pool.. so walked all the way to PS there~ so far lorx~

FIRST PROTEOMICS PRACTICAL TODAY~~!! xD

hahas *sounds so dam enthusiastic~ waves pom pom~!*

luckily i was on time la~ ms diong is oh-so-so-punctual~ gotta be punctual for every prac le..

prepared our buffers today and.. something went wrong with our BUFFER D!!!! =( sad la.. just preparing only and we already had something wrong!!! *arghhh~*

anyway.. guess what went wrong with buffer D?

we added glycerol way way way TOO EARLY before our urea dissolved!

therefore.. the glycerol STUCK to the urea and PREVENTED it from dissolving!! thus we had this white blob thingy in our falcon tube!!! -_-

in the end when everyone had absolutely cleared out of the lab.. there was only the THREE of us plus ms diong~ =X

but we did it in the end! thou there was many many bubbles!

so have to wait till next prac to top up the volume in the tube till 10ml~~

anyway.. went hunting for my hitman reborn accessory thingy~

went to the comics connection at yishun but DONTHAVE! :((

then went to CCK de.. ALSO DONT HAVE!!! :((

by then my stomach was already growling *grrr~* so had lunch over there at LOT1~ must shop there some time.. xDD

last stop was west mall's comics connection.. and... HOORAY!!! xD
